Preparing today's mystery…
Practice rounds are for fun and do not affect daily scores, streaks, leaderboards, or achievements.
Where the popularity numbers come from
New daily puzzles are created automatically from a weekly refreshed Scryfall catalog. Their metric is the Scryfall EDHREC card-usage rank: a higher rank means the card appears in fewer Commander decks. This is not how often the card leads a deck as commander. Each day freezes its ranking snapshot so all players see identical results. The original October 13 puzzle keeps the older dated commander-deck counts.
What is Obscurity Ladder?
It's a daily MTG Commander ranking game: sort five legendary cards by EDHREC card-usage rank. Higher numbers indicate less use as a card in Commander decks. It's free to play and rewards correct relative comparisons.
Are these live EDHREC popularity rankings?
No. The server freezes each daily result in its own database record. Source rankings can refresh automatically each week, but a puzzle's answer never changes after it is published.
Magic: The Gathering artwork and card links are supplied by Scryfall. Popularity numbers come from EDHREC, with a fixed, documented data snapshot.
